The contemporary Austrian writer Julian Schutting (born in Lower Austria in 1937), has become an established figure on the literary scene in Austria. The essays collected in this volume, by a group of international scholars, represent the first attempt in English to cover the twenty-eight works published by Schutting since the early 1970s.
